More than flying

Patagonia Bush Pilots was born from the desire to bring aviation together with nature in its purest state. We are a community of pilots, adventurers and dreamers who see flying as the freest way to explore the world. Our home is Trevelin, in Argentine Patagonia, an environment that represents who we are: freedom, challenge, respect for nature and a passion for flying. We believe that flying is much more than a technical skill: it is a way of life. Our mission is to train pilots who are able to fly with precision, sound judgment and respect for the environment, combining adventure with the highest safety standards. We aim to inspire everyone who comes to PBP to live aviation through a connection with nature, humility in the face of challenge and camaraderie among pilots. Every flight, every landing on a remote strip and every day in the hangar are opportunities to learn, share and feel the privilege of flying in Patagonia. We are a benchmark in mountain flying and STOL in South America, and our mission is to leave a mark: a community that flies with purpose, passion and respect for this territory that teaches us something new every day.

“Flying is more than moving through the air. It is a way of understanding the world from a different perspective.” — Patagonia Bush Pilots.

Airframes Patagonia

Ultralight Super Cub PA-18 fuselages, custom-built and designed for bush flying, with a mountain flying course included.

Airframes Patagonia – Fuselages & structures

We manufacture Super Cub fuselages with the best upgrades developed since the early 1950s. The Super Cub is the iconic bush flying aircraft.

Our fuselages are the basic building block to create the experimental aircraft of your dreams.

Who we are

Airframes Patagonia is proud to create the first truly Patagonian brand by offering hand-made, high-quality products built to withstand any adventure. We don’t just build the aircraft, we also fly them in the best locations in South America, putting their performance to the test.

In our products, flight experience and technology come together with a single goal: enabling adventurers to push the limits of exploration.

Our customers

Airframes Patagonia is proud to support the outdoor recreation community in Patagonia and around the world. Our mission is to provide strong and safe products for mountain pilots and outdoor enthusiasts seeking backcountry adventures.

Whether you are a pilot, hunter, angler, researcher or guide, the expansion of Airframes Patagonia allows backcountry enthusiasts to go deeper into their journeys.

We build experimental bush aircraft parts

Airframes Patagonia specializes in welded assemblies for PA-18-style aircraft. We also manufacture parts that give pilots and their aircraft the ability to reach the most remote places on earth.

You choose, we build

Because a stock fuselage is only the starting point…

Why an Airframes Patagonia fuselage?

It’s simple: weight, customization and an included mountain flying course. We build the lightest PA-18 fuselage on the market and offer more than 30 modifications you can choose from to design your ideal bush plane.

We are very proud of our ongoing investment in research and development on PA-18 fuselages and we continuously look for new ways to make our Cub fuselages even lighter, stronger and more functional.

And if that’s not enough, a course on how to get the most out of your aircraft, learning everything you need about bush flying, seals the deal: we now offer a free course with every fuselage order.

What’s the process?

Before completing any order, we schedule a call to review your project, design goals and modification choices. We work in English or Spanish and, if you wish, you can visit us in person at any time during the process.

Only need part of a fuselage?

Airframes Patagonia also sells, individually, the hundreds of parts and sub-assemblies that form your aircraft’s fuselage, so even if we didn’t build your complete fuselage, we still support your own modification or repair project. You can write to us for more details.
